December - ISE commenced trials and testing on the China Geological Survey Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).

• ISE Awarded New Contract To Build Two AUVs

November - ISE received the contract to supply and operate two Explorer class AUVs for Natural Resources Canada.

• Jim McFarlane Receives Compass Distinguished Achievement Award

September - Jim McFarlane received the Compass Distinguished Achievement Award at the MTS/IEEE Oceans 08 Conference in Quebec City, Canada

• ISE Receives Compass International Award at MTS Oceans 08

September - ISE Received the MTS/IEEE International Award at the Oceans 08 Conference in Quebec City, Canada.

• BCIT Awards Honorary Doctorate To Al Trice

July - Mr. Allan Trice, Senior Designer with International Submarine Engineering Ltd received an Honorary Doctorate of Technology by the British Columbia School of Technology (BCIT) on June 20, 2008.

• ISE Appoints New Quality Assurance Manager

July - Effective July 1, 2008 Diana Gong assumed the role as ISE’s Quality Assurance Manager.

• China Geological Survey Orders ISE HYSUB ROV

June - To be delivered in the first quarter of 2009, the ROV is the first for China’s geological institution, governed directly under China’s Ministry of National Land Resource.

• ISE and ECA Awarded Contract From Dept of National Defence

May - DND of Canada has awarded the Société ECA the contract to provide Canada with the latest technology in a Remote Control ID Vehicle - ISE is ECA's Agent for this sale.

• ISE Meets & Exceeds Trials For Fugro Chance ROV

May - After completion of harbour trials, Fugro Chance Inc. plans to deploy HAMMERHEAD, a 150 HP, 5000 metre depth Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) built by ISE.

• Canadian Navy Trials Active Towfish

April - ISE's Aurora Active Towfish was successfully towed for the first time from existing route survey equipment belonging to the Canadian Navy aboard a Maritime Coastal Defense Vessel (MCDV) off the coast of vancouver Island.

• ISE Awarded New AUV Development Contract

January - ISE to conduct the design and engineering work on a new Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) Platform.

2007 Events:

• Canadian Navy Dorado Semi-Submersible Demonstration in Vancouver Harbour

October - View (16.6 MB) the CTV Newscast of the Canadian Navy's IRMDS Surveying the Vancouver BC Harbour

• ISE Delivers Power and Control Systems for US Navy Submarine Rescue System

September - Delivery and Integration of NAVSEA's Pressurized Rescue Module System (PRMS) Control System, a part of the Submarine Rescue Diving and Recompression System (SRDRS).

• Canada's IRMDS (Dorado) Demonstrates at AUV Fest '07

August - The Canadian Interim Remote Mine-Hunting and Disposal System (IRMDS) participated in a multi-national R&D activity which marks the vehicle's 26th deployment.


• ISE's 5th Explorer AUV Delivery

June - ISE delivers its 5th Explorer class AUV to the Centre for Marine Environmental Sciences (MARUM) at the University of Bremen in Germany.


• Fugro Chance Places ROV Contract With ISE

June - ISE receives contract from Fugro Chance to update their Hammerhead ROV with current technologies.


• Ventana Completes 3000 Dives!

  May - MBARI's Ventana successfully completed 3000 dives. The Ventana is a HYSUB 40 built by ISE in 1987. Ventana supports research programs across a broad range of science discipline's in both the pelagic and benthis environments.
  
  Craig Dawe, Chief ROV Pilot, MBARI wrote:
  "....Ventana has completed 3000 Scientific Dives as of yesterday. Could not have done it without all of your support over these past 19 years."

2006 Events:

• December - ISE Ltd. and IFREMER, Toulon, France share in the successful conclusion of sea acceptance tests with IFREMER's second 3000 meter autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) built by ISE. Following Factory Acceptance Tests in Vancouver, BC, the vehicle was air-shipped in late November and began Sea Acceptance Testing on December 6th. Testing was successfully concluded on December 6 with a dive to 2,450 metres off Saint Tropez.ISE to conduct the design and engineering work on a new Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) Platform.
