December -ISE has appointed two new agents to promote their Explorer class of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVS) in Russia and Asia. November -On October 10th, 2009 Dr. James R. McFarlane, President of ISE was honoured as a Technology Pioneer by the Offshore Energy Center (OEC) Hall of Fame in Houston, Texas. September -On September 22nd, 2009 ISE handed over two Explorer class AUVS to Natural Resources Canada at a ceremony held onboard ISE's researcher vessel in Indian Arm, BC. September -On August 31st 2009 ISE marked its 35th Anniversary, establishing itself as the longest standing contributor to subsea vehicle development. March - The recently launched ISE HYSUB ROV came equipped with the first deep diving High Pressure Recovery Vessel (HPRV). March - Lori Porter is an ISE Engineer and Project Manager who participates on the committee with the mandate to setting international standards and goals within the unmanned systems community.
December - ISE commenced trials and testing on the China Geological Survey Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). November - Read the North Shore News article on the tests performed by the ISE Dorado Semi-Submersible AUV in Burrard Inlet, Vancouver, BC. November - ISE received the contract to supply and operate two Explorer class AUVs for Natural Resources Canada. September - Jim McFarlane received the Compass Distinguished Achievement Award at the MTS/IEEE Oceans 08 Conference in Quebec City, Canada September - ISE Received the MTS/IEEE International Award at the Oceans 08 Conference in Quebec City, Canada. July - Mr. Allan Trice, Senior Designer with International Submarine Engineering Ltd received an Honorary Doctorate of Technology by the British Columbia School of Technology (BCIT) on June 20, 2008. July - Effective July 1, 2008 Diana Gong assumed the role as ISE’s Quality Assurance Manager. June - To be delivered in the first quarter of 2009, the ROV is the first for China’s geological institution, governed directly under China’s Ministry of National Land Resource. May - DND of Canada has awarded the Société ECA the contract to provide Canada with the latest technology in a Remote Control ID Vehicle - ISE is ECA's Agent for this sale. May - After completion of harbour trials, Fugro Chance Inc. plans to deploy HAMMERHEAD, a 150 HP, 5000 metre depth Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) built by ISE. April - ISE's Aurora Active Towfish was successfully towed for the first time from existing route survey equipment belonging to the Canadian Navy aboard a Maritime Coastal Defense Vessel (MCDV) off the coast of vancouver Island. |
