Control Systems, Consoles

The HYSUB ROV control systems and consoles are required for the operation and control of the remote vehicle. They are normally located in the Control Van or Module or the Operators Room on the ship or platform. ISE supplies a number of different console configurations depending on customer preferences and vehicle complexity and is certainly able to design to specific customer requirements. ISE possesses a great deal of expertise in the design of control systems and associated software and equipment and is able to provide control systems and consoles for submarine rescue vehicles, ROVs, AUVs, ASVs, and other remotely operated or autonomous systems.

Smaller Systems:

Smaller systems typically have one or two 19″ rack consoles. Larger systems have been supplied with up to six consoles.All consoles typically contain the following components:

  • Power tray with ground fault monitor
  • Telemetry interface tray
  • Pilot joystick tray
  • Control Computer
  • Graphics Monitor
  • Video Monitors
  • Sonar control processor and display
  • Manipulator and tool controls

 


 

Larger Systems:

The larger control console configurations allow for more video monitors, an additional computer with graphic display and mission specific tooling, instrumentation and navigation equipment. These consoles display the primary video feed for the Pilot and Navigator displayed on 32″ monitors that are known to provide better ‘telepresence’ for the ROV Operators.

The HYSUB ROV Pilot’s Console will normally have a trackball as an operator interface with the Control Computer, and may be used to control some of the ROV Functions such as activating the cameras, turning on the various instruments, and changing graphic display pages.

 


 

Bellypack:

A Bellypack provides full on-deck control of ROV maneuverability can be wired or wireless.

 


 

ASEN Control Vans:

ISE offers custom built offshore cabins including control, maintenance, and workshop vans. Cabins are designed to DNV 2.7.1 or 2.7.2 and can be tailored to meet the customers unique application.
